For years I have been quietly meditating and creating amulets, putting the evil eye on trial and crafting rituals of liberation and healing for interested congregants. I have kept this practice very close to my chest, not out of fear of what others would think, but because deep down I am a rationalist. This discussion/workshop will explore various modes of ritual as well as the context and understanding of the place of folk ritual/magic in a progressive liberal congregation. We will also touch my initial impetus for entering this practice as well as how it has evolved over the years.
