Finding ways to speak and think about death and dying is a shared human challenge in modern society and is, for many of us, a delicate topic. Embedded in our tradition are resources that can support these important conversations. Study, contemplate, and discuss several rich classical and contemporary Jewish texts that wrestle with end-of-life concerns (discontinuing life support, preparing spiritually for our deaths) and offer opportunities to nurture relationships and share blessings even in our final breaths. Source materials include Talmudic, liturgical, and poetic passages.
