Fewer than 10% of all Jewish children in Nazi occupied countries survived the war. However, liberation was not particularly liberating for the surviving children. It is then that they began to understand the enormity of what had happened and became aware of the losses of home and family.  Dr. Krell will explore the impact of the traumas endured during the developmental years and how they impacted the lives of child Holocaust survivors, to this day.  He will also comment on the remarkable resilience and contributions of many of these surviving children.
