A field trip. Gather at Limmud Vancouver for lunch at 1:00 pm. Travel together to the Ismaili Centre (Burnaby) to meet Islamic youth and discuss issues of common concern, e.g., social media, parental expectations, and life as a religious minority.
Led by Hillary Kaplan and Alykhan Velji, with support from Camp Miriam counsellors.

Hillary has led children’s programs at Camp Miriam, Or Shalom Synagogue,  CJSF Radio, and Cedar Cottage Neighbourhood House, and co-ordinated inter-religious conferences at the Vancouver School of Theology.

Alykhan holds a bachelor’s degree in education. At the Ismaili Centre in Burnaby, he is the grade 10 teacher, and part of the youth education team.
